Edward Christopher Sheeran popularly known as Ed Sheeran is an Award winning English singer, songwriter and record producer born on February 17, 1991.
Ed Sheeran was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England.
He is originally from Framlingham, Suffolk, England.
His father, John was a curator at Cartwright Hall in Bradford while his mother, Imogen worked t Manchester City Art Gallery. He also has an older bother, Matthew who is a composer
Often characterized with his signature blonde hair, Sheeran is a versatile music artist with musical genres of folk-pop, Pop and hip hop.
He is well known for top collaborations with Stormzy and Burna boy on “Own It” and “I Don’t Care” featuring Justin Bieber.
Career
Ed sheeran started singing at a very tender age of four at his local church and had learned how to play the guitar at age seven
He started music career professionally in 2004 with independent release of his work “Spinning Man”.
Ever since he came to limelight, Sheeran already boast of numerous hit singles and EP’s.
He developed his passion for music with inspiration from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Elton John and so on.
He launched a record label, Ginger man records, which is a deal with Warner Music group in August 2015 alongside its accompanying YouTube channel.
The label first signee, Jamie Lawson released his self-titled album on October 9, 2015. Sheeran also signed his second artist, Foy Vance in November 2015.
He made his acting debut with a role on the New Zealand soap opera “Shortland Street” in 2014.
He appeared and performed on a live episode of the NBC sitcom “Undateable” in May 2015. He has also starred in other series such as “Home and Away” and featured in a scene on “Game of Thrones”.
Charity
The talented singer also run a foundation “Ed Sheeran Suffolk Foundation” (ESSF) which is a charitable music foundation that help young people under the age of 18 and living in UK with grants for playing or studying music.

Personal Life
After securing a recording deal in 2001, Sheeran purchased and renovated a farm near Framlinghanm, Suffolk where he said he hopes to raise a family.
The singer had lived between Hendersonville, Tennessee and Los Angeles, California in 2013 and later bought a house in South London in 2014.
He started dating Scottish singer, Nina Nesbitt in 2012 before they parted ways. His relationship with Nesbitt is the reason for songs like “Nina” and “Photograph”.
He began dating Athina Andrelos in January 2014 and broke up in February 2015.
Ed Sheeran began dating childhood friend, Cherry Seaborn in July 2015. They got engaged in January 2018 and got married in 2019. Cherry is the reason for his song “Perfect”.
