Early Life
Daichi Kamada was born on August 5, 1996 in Egime, Japan to parents Takako Kamada (mother) and Mikio Fukushige Kamada (father). His father, Fukushige was once a footballer and worked for the seniors and Juniors at Osaka University of Physical Education. His younger brother, Hiromu Kamada is also a footballer.
Kamada can also speak both English and German and thus communication has not been a barrier to his football career.
Career
Kamada developed interest in football at a very tender age. He began playing at the 6th grade in elementary school.
He played at the youth level with Kids FC, Gamba Osaka, and Higashiyama High School before joining Sagan Tosu in 2015 for his professional career.
He went on loan to J.League U-22 and later joined the German club, Eintracht Frankfurt on a four-year contract in June 2017. He made his debut for Eintracht Frankfurt in a 3-0 win against TuS Erndtebruck where he played 73 minutes before being substituted.
He was loaned out to the Belgian side Sint-Truiden in September 2018, where he had lots of positive impact on the club, having scored on his debut in a 2-1 victory over Gent on September 16, 2018.
Kamada returned back to Eintracht Frankfurt from a loan spell at Sint-Truiden, and was immediately recognised as a starter for the team.
However, Kamada signed a two-year contract with the Italian club Lazio on August 3, 2023.
At the international level, Kamada represented Japan at the under-21 and Under-23 levels before being called up to the senior team. He was part of the team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and helped the national team reached the knockout phase of the competition.
