Chukwuka Ekwean (born July 16, 1995) professionally known as Ckay, is a Nigerian afrobeat singer, songwriter and record producer. He came to prominence for his hit singles Container, Way and Felony. He also gained international exposure with his single “Love Nwantiti” which went viral on the Tik Tok platform.

Ckay was born on July 16, 1995 in Kaduna State to Dr & Mrs Ekweani. He is originally from Anambra State, Southeastern part of Nigeria.
Ckay developed passion for music at the age of 7 where he was introduced into the art of music by his father who was a choir conductor. He started writing and producing music at the age of 13 and as at 2014, he came down to Lagos to work as a production intern at Chocolate City Music. He worked at the studio till he was signed by Loopy Music who were merged with Chocolate City while M.I became the C.E.O. He came through with his production debut “Third Mainland Bridge” which featured M.I and Moti Cakes.
Ckay officially signed as a music artist to Chocolate City in August 2016 and released his first official single under the imprint which he titled “Nkechi Turn Up”.
He became recognized globally for his hit single “Love Nwantiti”. The song which became popular in every aspect of the world and at the same time getting lots of remixes and versions in French, German, Italian, Spanish, while featuring collaborators from each region.
Ckay has other notable singles such as Container, Way and Felony which went viral on the video sharing platform Tik Tok.
