Cinderella Sanyu who is simply called Cindy Sanyu, is a popular Ugandan singer, songwriter, actress and all round entertainer born on August 28, 1985. Cindy was one of the members of Blu*3 which also had the likes of Lilian Mbabazi and Jackie Chandiru before she went on a solo career in 2008.

Early Life & Background
Cindy Sanyu who hails from Bale district, was born on August 28, 1985 in Kampala, Uganda.
She is the fifth child in a family of 8. She is also Munyoro/Itesot by tribe.
She grew up in Ntinda barracks based on her father being a military personnel.
She went to Wenale primary school and attended Ngora High School for her secondary education.
Career
Cindy found passion for music at the age of 6 while singing in her local church at a small town called Ntinda.
At the age of 16, she took part in ‘Capital Radio All Stars talent search’ where he emerged third.
She was one of the members of Blu*3 which was formed in 2003. They won the Best group and Best music video from Uganda in the 2005 Kisima Music Awards, Video of the Year at the 2005 Pearl of Africa Music Awards and Video of the Year in the 2007 Pearl of Africa Music Awards.

After an amazing outing with the group, Cindy went on a solo career in 2008 where she came through with her debut album “Ayokyayokya” in 2009. The project topped charts in East Africa with hit records such as; Nawewe, Mbikooye, One and Only and Ayokyayokya.
As an actress, Cindy came through with her debut role as Bella in the Ugandan musical drama film “Bella”. The role got her numerous nominations such as; Best Young Actor at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Actress at the Ugandan Film Festival Awards and so on.
Personal Life
Cindy Sanyu was said to be in a realtionship with Ken Muyisa. She also got involved with Mario Brunetti and both had a daughter named Amani.
However, she later got engaged to actor and producer, Joel Okuyo Prynce in March 2020.
