Chanel West Coast whose real name is Chelsea Chanel Dudley is a popular American television personality, musician and entrepreneur. She became known for her work in MTV’s Rob Dyrdrk’s Fantasy Factory and also co-hosted Ridiculousness for 24 seasons.

Early Life

Chanel West Coast was born on September 1, 1988 in Los Angeles, California, United States.

She grew up with her parents, while spending some time with her mother at North Hollywood and her father in New York City. Her father who is of Russian Jeeish descent, was a Disc Jockey at night clubs while her mother, Penny Porsche who is of English descent, was an adult film actress.

Chanel went to Taft High School in Woodland Hills for two years before she eventuall resorted into home schooling.

Career

Chanel grew up listening to rap songs and at the age of 14, she started rapping with inspiration from Tupac Shakur song “Joe Do U Want It”.

She was acquainted with TV character Rob Dyrdek through common companions in 2008. Subsequently, Dyrdek offered Chanel a position as his secretary while he was showing up on the MTV reality series Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. The series was subsequently renewed for a second season by MTV.

Chanel made her acting debut with a role as Sheila in an episode of the MTV series The Hard Times of RJ. She later turned into a primary cast member on the series Ridiculousness.

Chanel showed up in both the fifth period of Fantasy Factory and the second period of Ridiculousness, in 2012. That very year she started to voice the personality of Flipz in the enlivened series Wild Grinders. However she later left the record label without delivering any material. During this time, West Coast started delivering her own material free of charge download on the web, and later recorded a music video for the tune “I Love Money”.

Chanel was signed to Lil Wayne’s record label Young Money in 2012. She delivered her mixtape, Now You Know, under the imprint in 2013 wuth features from the likes of Robin Thicke, Ty Dolla Sign, Honey Cocaine, Snoop Dogg and French Montana.

She delivered her second mixtape WAVES, in August 2015 while featuring YG and B-Real.

Chanel affirmed that she had started recording her debut studio album and set to be delivered in 2016, which was initially expected to be released in 2014.

She released her song “Nobody” in 2018 and also released another tune “I Be Like” featuring Dax, in August 2019.

Chanel West Coast finally released her debut studio album America’s Sweetheart on October 23, 2020.

She has continued to dish out more exciting vibes ever since she came to limelight, some of her other singles include; No Plans, Bkack Roses, 40 Yard Dash and West Coast Christmas.

She has also worked with music artists like T.I, Ying Yang Twins, Frenchie, Rich Homie Quan and many others.

Aside music, she also has a clothing line “Valleywood” which she launched in 2009 and also unveiled another clothing line named “LOL CARTEL” in 2019.
