Audrey Mika was born on July 28, 2000 in California, United States. She was raised in Oakland, California.
Career
Audrey Mika was trained in a vocal Jazz and the early age while listening to jazz artists like Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.
She danced competitively for good 14 years before she eventually quit in 2018.
She developed her passion for music with influences from the likes of Ariana Grande, Jhene Aiko, Dominic Fike, Omar Apollo and so on.
She posted her first video on YouTube at the age of 15.
She came through with her first studio album “Are We There Yet” in September 2018, after which she started posting covers of songs by artists like Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish on YouTube.
She released her second studio album “Level Up” in February 2019. The album was a bedroom pop effort made with Garageband.
She came to limelight for her hit single “Y U Gotta Be Like That” as released in June 2019. The song enjoyed massive airplay and went viral on the video sharing platform Tik Tok.
She released her debut EP “5 A.M” via RCA records, in February 2020 and followed with a remix of her single “Y U Gotta Be Like That” with amazing vocals from Kyle.
She has continued to release more exciting singles in 2020, from “Just Friends” to “Safe With Me” and “Red Gatorade”.
