Early Life
A Boogie wit da Hoodie was born Artist Julius Dubose on December 6, 1995, in New York City, United States. He grew up in Highbridge where he began rapping.
He went to Eagle Academy for his basic education and graduated from Performance-based Preparatory Academy in Fort Pierce, Florida, for his High School education.
Career
A Boogie wit da Hoodie started tapping at the age of twelve with music influences from the likes of 50 Cent and Kanye West.
He began to release songs such as Temporary, via SoundCloud, at the age of 19. Although the song lacked good rhythm and flows of which it could be called a good hip hop tune.
He moved to New York in 2015 and founded a re ord label called Highbridge the Label alongside Don Q, Quincy “QP” Acheampong and Sambou “Bubba” Camara.
He released his first mixtape Artist in 2016 and was included on the Forbes list of up-and-coming rappers. He also went on to release a collaborative project with the rapper Don Q titled “Highbridge the Label: The Takeover Vol.1”, on May 18, 2016.
Dubose signed a deal with Atlantic Records in July 2016 and released his first extended play “The Bigger Artist”, in October of the same year.
A Boogie came through with his debut studio album The Bigger Artist, on September 29, 2017. The album features guest appearances from the likes of 21 Savage, Trey Songz, Kodak Black, and Chris Brown.

He released his second album Hoodie SZN, on December 21, 2018, with features from the likes of Offset, 6ix9ine, and Juice Wrld. The album debuted number 2 on the Billboard 200, with over 90,000 copies sold in its first week of release.
He released his third studio album Artist 2.0 in 2020 following the release of the single off the album titled “King of the City”.
A Boogie wit da Hoodie has worked with other top musicians such as Liam Payne, Lil Durk, Ally Brooke, Ed Sheeran, and many others.
