Tembeka Ngcukaitobi (born Decmeber 25, 1976) is a South African lawyer, author, activist and public speaker. He is an author of several life changing books with the notable one as, The Land is Ours: South Africa’s First Black Lawyers and the Birth of the Constitutionalism.

Early Life

Tembeka Ngcukaitobi was born on December 25, 1976 im Western Cape, South Africa.

He obtained his LLB degree at Rhodes University and LLM (London School of Economics). He was part of the international legal team that represented the major opposition political party in Zimbabwe.

Career

After practicing law as an advocate for 8 years, he became a senior counsel on 2019.

Tembeka is also an acting judge at the Land Claims Court of South Africa, notable for the Msiza case. He also played a role in the removal of the former president of South Africa, Jacob Zouma where he initially argued in the Constitutional Court on the Nkandla matter.

However, he is an author of the book, The Land is Ours: South Africa’s First Black Lawyers and the birth of Constitutionalism and also co-authored the Constitutional Law Casebook.
