Early Life & Background

Olive Burrows was born to a Kamba mother and Kenyan father. Her father is from a mixed background; born to a British father and Tanzanian mother.

she is the only child of her mother who is now late. She also have half sisters and brothers.

She was raised in Nairobi West.

She went to Malezi primary school in Lang’ata and Kenya High School for her primary and secondary school education respectively.

She also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication at Daystar University.

Career

Olive Burrow who loves to write, began as an editor at E-Girl.

She started writing about entertainment where she contributed to several publications which include the likes of Destination Magazine, True Love and EAM.

She briefly worked with the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), from September 2007 to December 2007. She then worked Nation Media Group (NMG) as a contributor from October 2007 to April 2009.

She rose to fame after she joined Capital FM News as a reporter where she worked in the media house for up to six years until May 2018.

Olive replaced Victoria Rubadiri and became the new face of NTV prime time news in May 2018. She anchored the news alongside Dennis Okari.
