Cameron was born in San Diego, California to her mother, Billie, an import/export agent and her father, Emilio diaz, worked for the California oil company Unocal as a foreman. She also has an elder sister, Chimene.
Cameron is of mixed ethnicity, her father’s family is Cuban and her mother of English and German Ancestry.
She attended Los Cerritos Elementary School and then went to Long Beach Polytechnic High School where she was a classmate of American rapper, Snoop Dogg.
