Early Life
Yves Bissouma was born on August 30, 1996 in Issia, Ivory Coast. He trained at the Majestic academy in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, an academy partnered with Jean-Marc Guillou Academy in Bamako, Mali. He was scouted to the academy in Mali at the age of 13 and trained there for 5 years.
Career
Bissouma began his football career at the youth level with JMG Academy Bamako.
He joined AS Real Bamako at the age of 18 and later signed a three-year contract with Lille in 2016.
He signed a five-year deal for Brighton & Hove Albion for an undisclosed fee on July 17, 2018. He made his debut for the club in a 2-0 loss to Watford where he came on as a substitute. He scored his first goal for the club at the FA Cup in a 3-1 victory against Bournemouth.
Bissouma signed a four-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur for a reported fee of £30 million, on June 14, 2022. He made his debut for the club at the Premier League in a 4-1 victory against Southampton. Bissouma made his presence felt on the field of play with back to back Player of the Match in his first two matches, againhst Bredntford and Manchester United.
