Tobechuwku Dubem Nwigwe (born March 8, 1987) known professionally as Tobe Nwigwe, is a Nigerian-American rapper, singer and songwriter. He came to prominence for his hit songs “I’m Dope” and “Eat” which he performed at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards. He is also known for his works with the likes of D Smoke and Paul Wall.

Early Life
Tobe Nwigwe was born on March 8, 1987 in Alief, Texas.
He is originally from the Igbo tribe part of Nigeria. He was raised alongside his other siblings by his parents. His brother, Joel had left his football career to earn his degree in real estate.
He grew up in a catholic home and as described his relationship with God as a way to channel his instincts.
He went to Alief Elsik High School and also attended the University of North Texas.
Career
Nwigwe came through professionally in 2016 with numerous songs released.
He worked with his wife, Martika Ivory Rogers ( popularly known as Fat) and Sister, LaNell “Nell” Grant, also known as the Originals.
He came to limelight for his single “Try Jesus” and has released other songs to the delight of music fans.
He has also worked with top figures which include the likes of D Smoke, Black Thought, Duckwrth, Paul Wall and many others.
Aside music, he also founded non profit, TeamGINI.
