Stephanie Abrams (born October 27, 1978) is a well known face in the media space. She is an American meteorologist who came to prominence as the co-host of AMHQ alongside Jen Carfagno and Jim Cantore.

Early Life

Stephanie Abrams was born on October 27, 1978 in Wellington, Florida, United States.

She obtained a Bachelors degree in  geography with a minor in mathematics from the University of Florida in Gainsville. She also has a second degree in meteorology at Florida State University in Tallahasee.

Career

Abrams began her career on meteorology while practicing on-air forecasts on FSU live, a student-run news and weather production on a Tallahassee cable channel.

She also worked as a teaching assistant at FSU where she majored on meteorology.

She began to work as a morning meteorologist at WTXL, the ABC affiliate in Tallahasee, Florida. She was a reporter on the Weather channel in July 2003 and until 2005 before she joined her first show, Weekend View as a co-host.

She became an on-camera meteorologist as co-host of Abrams and Bettes: Beyond the Forecast.

She co-anchored Wake Up with AI with AI Roker and often joined Sam Champion on America’s morning Headquarters (AMHQ).

She became an interim weather anchor on Weekend Today in 2012 and also co-hosted the Weather Channel programs on the Radar from 2012 to 2013 and Morning Rush on weekdays from 2009 to 2014.

She is currently the co-host of AMHQ with Jen Carfagno and Jim Cantore.
