Early Life
Sanni McCandless was born on June 30, 1992 in Washington DC, United States to parents, Jay McCandless and Leslie Marijke.
She went to East Chapel Hill High School and obtained a BA in Psychology and minor in Spanish. She also earned her personal life coach certification in 2017 from iPEC coaching.
Her parents own a company called Suncastle Microwave LLC, that focus on microwave and antenna design.
Her father, Jay is a graduate from UCLA. He has masters in Electromagnetics Engineering and her mother, Leslie, is also a graduate of UCLA with much experience in project management and marketing.
Career
Sanni has worked for several organisations which include; as a nanny for the Duarte Family and also worked as a business manager of Cadence All-Female A Capella, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
She moved to Cordoba, Spain where she worked as hospital assistant in WorkAway and moved to EnergySavvy as the company’s event and marketing coordinator.
She left the software company in 2016 and began to pursue a career as a life coach.
She earned her personal life coach certification in 2017 from iPEC coaching. She has been able to assist many people to overcome their doubts and fears in life. She encourages and help people to achieve their set goals.
She is also a the co-founder of Outwild, alongside Courtney Sanford and Jeremy Jensen.
McCandless also run a blog called Thirty Five Degrees West, where she writes about her thoughts and adventures in the outdoor industry.
Sanni as fondly called, is also a vegetarian with influence from her sister.

Personal Life
McCandless and the famous rock climber, Alex Honnold announced their engagement on instagram in December 2019, where Honnold proposed to her on Christmas.
They met in November 2015 when Alex was in Seattle to sign copies of his book titled Alone on the Wall. Three weeks after they met, the two began dating and even went on a climbing trip in Switzerland.
