Richarlison was born Richarlison de Andrade on May 10, 1997, in Nova Venecia, Brazil.
Career
Richarlison began his football career at the youth level with Real Noroeste before joining Club América youth system in 2014.
He was promoted to the first team in June 2015 and made gis professional debut in a 3-1 home victory over Mogi Mirim, on July 4, 2015.
He signed a five-year deal with Serie A club Fluminense and made his debut in a 3-3 draw against Ferroviaria, in the second leg of the Copa do Brasil, on May 13, 2016.
Richarlison moved to the English club Watford, on a five-year deal, on August 8, 2017, for a reported transfer fee of £11.2 million. He played his first match in a 3-3 draw against Liverpool and scored his first goal for the club in a 2-0 win against Bournemouth.
He joined Everton on July 24, 2018, and later signed for Tottenham Hotspur on July 1, 2022, on a contract until 2027, for a fee of £50 million plus £10 million potential add-ons from Everton. He made his Champions League debut for Tottenham Hotspur on September 7, 2022, and scored both goals in a 2-0 victory against Marseille.
Richarlison represented Brazil at the under-20 and under-23 levels before being called up to the senior team by coach Tite, on August 27, 2018, for friendlies against the United States and El Salvador. He was part of the squad that won the 2019 Copa América, came runners-up at the 2021 Copa América, and won the gold medal at the 2020 Olympic tournament.
Richarlison was named in the squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He scored both goals in a 2-0 win against Serbia.
