Early Life
Born Pervis Josue Estupinan Tenorio on January 21, 1998 in Esmeraldas, Ecuador, to Pervis Estupinan Quinonez, Dora Tenorio Guagua.
Career
Estupinan began his career at the youth level in 2011 with LDU Quito. He was promoted to the first team ahead of the 2015 season where he made his professional debut in a 1-0 victory against El Nacional on February 1 of the same year.
He joined the English club Watford on July 29, 2016 and was immediately loaned to Granada CF.
From 2017 to 2020, Estupinan went on loan to three different clubs such as Almeria, Mallorca, and Osasuna.
He signed a seven-year contract with the Spanish club Villarreal for an initial fee of £15 million on September 16, 2020.
He joined the English club Brighton & Hove Albion on a five-year deal on August 16, 2020. He made his debut for the club in 2-0 victory against West Ham United.
Estupinan represented Ecuadornat the under-17 and under-20 levels before being called up to the senior team. He made his debut for the national team in a 6-1 loss to Argentina which was just a friendly match. He was named in the Ecuador squad alongside Brighton teammates Jeremy Samiento and Moises Caicedo for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
