Paul Michael Slayton (born 11 March 1981), known professionally as Paul Wall, is an American rapper, songwriter, actor and disc jockey. He came to prominence for his collaboration with Nelly on the song “Grillz” which earned him a nomination in the Grammy award in 2007. He is credited for his albums; Fast Life and Heart of a champion.

Early Life
Paul Wall was born on March 11, 1981 in Houston, Texas.
He went to Jersey Village High School and also majored in Mass Communication at the University of Houston.
Career
Paul started his career in the mid 1999 while performing alongside Chamillionaire of which they released numerous projects together.
He got signed with Atlantic records in 2005 and released his first album, The Peoples Champ. He also followed it up sith a second album in 2007ntitled “Get Money, Stay True” which spawned lots of hit tracks including ‘Break Em Off’ featuring Lil keke and “I’m Throwed” alongside the producer, Jermaine Dupri.
Paul also boast of other albums such as; Fast Life (2009), Heart of a Champion (2010), Checkseason (2013), The Po-up Poet (2014), Slab God (2015), Houston Oiler (2016), Bounce Backs over Setbacks (2018), Mind Over Matter (2020), Subculture (2020).
He also has other collaborative albums which include; Get ya Mind Correct alongside Chamillionaire (2002), Give thanks alongside Statik Selektah (2019), Slab Talk alongside Lil Keke (2020) and many others.
For his acting career, he starred in as Joe Robbins in the film Furnace alongside the American rapper, Ja Rule. He also featured in other movies such as; I Hope they serve beer in hell (2009), Ghetto Stories (2010) and Alligator C (2010).
