Olivia Lauryn Dean ( born March 14,1999) pooularly known as Olivia Dean, is an English singer and songwriter. She came to prominence for her collaboration with Rudimental. She is well known for songs like slowly and fall again. She was named Amazon music’s breakthrough artist of the year in 2021.
Early Life
Olivia was born on March 14, 1999 in London Borough of Haringey to an English father and Jamaican- Guyanese mother. She was raised in Walthamstow.
She studied at one of the top public schools in London for both her elementary and secondary school education and then graduated from BRIT School for performing Arts.
Career
Olivia had passion for music at a very young age where she took up musical theatre lessons and participated in gospel choir.
She has been able to develop herself with much inspiration from Solange Knowles, Beyonce’s sister as she admires her elegance and musical style.
She came to prominence for the release of her debut EP, Ok Love You Bye in 2019. She recorded a cover for the song ” Merry Christmas Everyone” in 2020 and also performed live at the Amazon Music UK international Women’s Day Festival in March,2021.
