Early Life
Kristin Kreuk was born on December 30, 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to parents, Deanna Che and Peter Kreuk. She is of mixed ethnicity as her father is of Dutch descent while her mother who was born in Indonesia, is of Chinese descent. She also has a sister named Justine Kreuk.
She trained in Karate and gymnastics and also wanted to study forensic science or psychology at Simon Fraser University before she was contacted by the casting director for the CBC television series Edgemont.
Career
Kreuk began her career with feature on the first season of the soap opera Edgemony. She later got a lead role in the movie, Snow White: The Fairest of them All.
She featured as Hannah in the season three of Chuck in 2009 and made appearance in the TV movie Ben Hur in 2010. She also followed with a role in the sitcom Hitched and in 2011, she featured in the NBC drama series, 17th Precinth.
She was unveiled as the lead female character in The CW’s reboot of Beauty & The Beast, in February 2012.
She played the lead role in Burden of Truth in 2018, having apoeared in the comedy film, Euro Trip (2004), and the short film, Dream Princess.
She has also made appearances in film like Partition, Space Milkshake, Irvine Welsh’s Ecstacy and so on.
Aside acting, Kreuk started a film production company called Parvati Creative Inc, alongside Rosena Bhura. She also became a spokesmodel for Neutrogena for their worldwide advertising campaign in 2003 while following the footsteps of Mandy Moore and Jennifer Love Hewitt. She renewed her contract with Neutrogena in 2005 for another two years.
