Kamie Crawford was born on October 25, 1992 in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S, to parents, Victor and Carla Crawford.

She is the oldest of her siblings, she has 4 sisters which include; Victoria, Karynton, and twins, Kenadi and Kendal.

She is of mixed ethnicity; of German, English, Indian, Jamaican and African-American ancestry.

She went to Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland and also enrolled at New York film Academy in September 2010.

She obtained a degree in communications and media at Fordham University in 2015.

Career

Crawford has passion for modeling while growing up. She was encouraged by a friend to take part in the Miss Maryland Teen USA after she trained for five months.

She emerged winner of the state pageant and represented the state at the national competition, Miss Teen USA, as she was trained by the Miss Pennsylvania USA, 2008.

She emerged winner of the Miss Teen USA 2010 and became the first contestant from Maryland to clinch the title. She is also the first African American to win the title after Janel Bishop in 1991, Ashley Coleman in 1999, and Marissa Whitley in 2001.

She signed with Jag Models in 2013 and had continued to flourish in her modeling career. She partnered with too beauty, fashion and lifestyle brands such as; Hulu, Dove, Crest, American Express, Swarovaki and so on

As a television host, she became part of the rotating hosts for the second part of season 7 of the MTV series, “Catfish” alongside the likes of the singer, Elle King, basketball athlete, Nick Young, model, Slick Woods and actress Kimiko Glenn, after Max Joseph left the series.

However, she became the permanent co-host of the MTV series. She was also the host of the reunion episode of Issa Rae’s reality show, Sweet Life: Los Angeles.

She also launched her relationship advice podcast called “Relationsh*t” with Dear Media studios.
