Porras started acting with a role in the telenovela, Tres Veces Sofia, alongside the Mexican actress and model, Lucia Mendez.
He came to prominence for his role in El Alma Herida, a telenovela produced by Telemundo.
He has starred in other films and television series alike such as; Zapato, Perro negro, Reflejos, Sin senos no hay paraiso, madre luna and so on.
