She obtained a degree in Accounting from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada and moved to Dallas to pursue a Masters degree at Southern Methodist University.

Ese began designing at the age of 8. She was inspired by beadwork and fringes on dresses from the 1920s andn1930s.
