Dumi Mkokstad was born on May 7, 1992 in Pietermaritzburg.
Career
Dumi began singing at a very early age of 9 while performing at the openings of stores and funerals where they lived in Mount Ailif in Kokstad alongside his father and other siblings.
Along the line, he was discovered by local music promoter, Hamilton kubashe.
He came to limelight foe his debut album “Dumi Mkokstad” in 2003 and ever since then, he has continued to dish out more good vibes foe the music lovers.
He has also worked with the likes of Jaziel brothers, Bethisile Mcinga and Hlengive Mhlaba.
