Christopher Nkunku was born Christopher Alan Nkunku on November 14, 1997, in Lagny-sur-Marne, France. He was born in France but of Congolese descent. He was discovered at the age of 6 with As Marolles before he joined Fontainebleau in 2009.
Career
Christopher Nkunku began his career with the Paris Saint-Germain Academy and made his professional debut in 2015. He won 3 Ligue 1 titles, the coup de France twice and the Coup de la Ligue twice.
He joined RB Leipzig on a five-year deal on July 18, 2019. He played his first game for the club in a 3-2 win against Vfl Osnabruck. He became the first player in the club’s history to score a hat-trick in the Uefa Champions League after scoring a hat-trick in their 6-3 defeat to Manchester City in the group stage of the 2021-22 Uefa Champions League.
Christopher Nkunku signed for Chelsea for a reported fee of €60 million plus €10 million add ons and will be made official in 2023.
He started his international career with the French youth, while he played for the under-16, under-19, under-20, and under-21.
He was called up for the France senior team and made his debut in a friendly match against Ivory Coast.
