Born Blessing Ibiang Effiom on June 30, popularly known as Blessing Effiong Egbe, is a Nigerian actress, producer, director and former model known for producing TV series like Disclosures and Lekki Wives.
Blessing Effiom was born and raised in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, into a family of 8 and originally hails from Edo state.
She obtained a degree in Theatre Arts at the University of Calabar. She also studied Script writing from City Varsity College, Cape Town, South Africa.
Career
Blessing Effiom Egbe started off her career as a model with the Silverbird International fashion show and won The ECOWAS best model competition in 2002.
She got to the peak of her modeling career after representing Nigeria in a modeling competition in Lebanon in 2003. She began working with Tyra Banks for the America Next top model.
She has also appeared in television commercials for the likes of Smart Cars, Snickers chocolate, Investec Bank and many others.
Prior to modeling, Blessing had worked in the Banking industry for 6 months. She also became a business partner with nollywood actress Omoni Oboli before both parted ways to find greener pasture.
Blessing Effiom delved into acting and has starred in produced numerous movies. She’s the CEO of B’Concept, a production company responsible for producing movies like Walking the lane, After the vow, African queen, Two Brides and a baby. She also produced the hit television series Disclosure and Lekki Wives.
The beautiful actress has worked with top actors which include; O.C Ukeje, Stella Damasus, Kalu Ikeagwu, Chelsea Eze, Okey Uzoeshi and so on.
