Early Life
Aweng Chuol was born in 1999 in Kakuma, Kenya as the eldest child in a family of 12 children. She has 11 siblings and her family moved to Australia when she was 11 years old. Her father was a soldier and passed away during the Second Sudanese Civil War.
She graduated from the University of Nee England in 2021, where she studied Law and psychological sciences.
Career
Chuol began to work at McDonald’s in Sydney at the age of 18.
She started her career as a model after being discovered by an agent from Chadwick Models. Ever since she came to prominence, she has modeled for the likes of Vetements, Fenty, and Pyer Moss.
She made appearances in Beyonce’s visual album Black Is King alongside Naomi Campbell, and in a Ralph Lauren holiday advertisement alongside her wife, in 2020.
Chuol has also been taking acting classes with the hope of becoming an actress. Her love for acting is being inspired by the likes of Lupita Nyong’o and Shonda Rhimes.
