Anissa Lahmari was born on February 17, 1997 in Saint-Cloud, France. Her father is from Algeria and her mother is from Morocco.
Lahmari began her career at the youth level in 2005 with AC Boulonge-Bilancourt, Issy-Les-Moulineaux and later Paris Saint-Germain academy.
She made her senior debut with Paris Saint-Germain in March 2015, in a 2-0 away victory against Glasgow City at the quarter-finals of UEFA Women’s Champions League.
She later went on loan to Reading, Paris FC, Soyaux, and Guingamp. She returned to Paris Saint-Germain in May 2019.
Lahmari represented both France and Algeria at the youth level before she switched to Morocco at the international levels.
She played for France at the U17 in 2003, and U19 in 2015. She won the 2019 Turkish Women’s Cup with France U23.
She was called up to play for Algeria in February 2023, and made her debut in a 4-0 win in a friendly match against Tanzania.
However, Lahmari was called up to the Moroccan team ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. She scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Colombia in their last group stage match.
Lahmari won the 2019 Turkish Women’s Cup with France U23.
