Early Life
AJ Tracey was born on March 4, 1994 in Brixton, London, England. He grew up in Ladbroke Grove, London.
His father who is a former rapper, is of Afro Trinidadian origin while his mother who is a former DJ, is Welsh.
He attended Middle Row Primary School and Holland Park School. He dropped out of London Metropolitan University where he majored in Criminology, to pursue a career in music
Career
AJ Tracey began to rap at the age if six. He was first known under the stage names Looney and Loonz.
He came through with his debut mixtape, Didn’t Make The Cut, in September 2014 and followed up with the second mixtape, No More Looney, in August 2014.
He released his first Extended Play project, The Front, in mid 2015 and the second EP, Alex Moran, was released in December of the same year.
AJ Tracey came to prominence for his hit single “Butterflies” featuring Not3s. He also released his self titled debut album on February 8, 2019.
