Apple is already having plans to shut down the program that started music revolution known as iTunes.
iTunes which was introduced in 2001 as a means to combat piracy, is now set to be retired.
Based on Bloomberg, it is the end of an era. Nearly two decades after launching iTunes and ripping the retail store model of album purchases, Apple is set to retire the iconic product.
Bloomberg also reports that the tech giant will announce the shutdown of iTunes at its annual worldwide developers conference in San Jose, California next Monday.
However, it has been said that the music app will still keep some of the programs key features including song purchases and phone syncing.
