Alex Usifo is a Nigerian actor and movie producer born on April 16, 1953.
Usifo was born to Barnabas and Patricia Anobi Omiagbo. His father had worked as a manager at the Central bank of Nigeria.
Usifo’s family moved to Ibadan where he had his primary education before they eventually moved to Edo State where he attended St. John Bosco’s Grammar School, Ubiaja for his secondary education.
He obtained his Bachelors degree in English at Ambrose-Ali University, a master’s degree at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology and a PhD degree in Informtion Resources Management from Babcock University.
He is one of the veteran actor in the movie industry. He already made name long before Nollywood came into existence. He had participated in numerous stage plays including Awero.
He has been a movie actor for about 30 years and that has given him enough experience in the movie industry.
His baritone voice and action packed character has always distinguished him on screen.
Alex Usifo had wanted to become a catholic priest before he changed his mind.
Prior to acting, he had worked at different media houses such as Radio Nigeria Lagos, Voice of Nigeria, NTA Ilorin and so on.
He also began a modelling agency in partnership with Andy Amenechi in the early 90’s and later established his own Silver and Gold Productions agency while featuring models such as Sandra Petgrave and Toyin Raji.
Usifo eventually started his acting career in 1984 with a role in the movie “The Return of the Native”. He then took lead roles in Natas and Two People.
He continued to strive hard while being part of NTA productions such as Echoes of Life, and Turning Wheel.
Alex Usifo came to limelight for his role as Talaab Abass in the Zeb Ejiro’s soap opera “Ripples”.

Alex Usifo got married to his wife, Princess Usifo in 1993 and their union is blessed with four children – Sarah, Isaac, David and Osedebame.
