Beautiful and dark skin Ama Konadu Abebrese popularly known as Ama K. Abebrese, is an award winning British Ghanaian actress, television presenter, movie producer and philanthropist born on May 3, 1990.

Abebrese is well known for her amazing performance in the movie “Sinking Sands”.

Her acting prowess and talent has placed Ghana on the global entertainment map.

Ama K. was named among C Hub magazine’s 100 most influential ‘African Women influencers of the era 2014/15″ and was also ranked the number 1 Most Influential TV and Radio Host 2015 on the Ghana Social Media Rankings List.

She’s a unique television presenter and her creativity is one of a kind.

Early Life & Background

Abebrese was born in kumasi, Ghana but raised West London in United Kingdom.

Her parents are originally from the Akan tribe in Ghana.

After completing secondary school at Burlington Danes Academy, she went to William Morris Sixth Form Hammersmith. She also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts and Drama at St Mary’s University, Twickenham.

Career

Abebrese started her career at very early age as a television presenter, hosting tv shows at the Youth Culture Television (YCTV) in London.

Ama K. has also presented on BBC2, OBE TV, Viasat 1, TV3, Ebonylife TV and many more.

She was a regular TV presenter on the defunct OBE TV in London, where she hosted and produced quite a number of shows which include One Touch and the entertainment chat show On The Sofa, where she was able to interview some of the renowned celebrities including Harrison Ford, Akon, Neyo, Idris Elba, Rihanna, Ziggy Marley and Star Wars director, George Lucas.

She also had the opportunity to interview the former British Prime minister, Tony Blair.

She came through with acting after joining the Lyric Theatre Summer Company. She has starred in numerous films such as Sinking Sands as directed by Leila Djansi, Double-Cross, Elmina and so on.

Ama K. also hosted the 2013 edition of the AMAA Awards alongside Nollywood actress, Dakore Akande and Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun.

Aside acting and being a TV presenter, she is the founder of the ‘I Love My Natural Skintone. Say No to Skin Bleaching” campaign which she launched in 2014.
