Adunni Ade with the full name Adunni Adewale is a popular Nigerian actress and model born on June 7, 1976.
Adunni was born and raised in Queens, New York, U.S by a Nigerian father from Lagos and a German American mother, Emily Faye Adewale.
She also grew up partly in Lagos where she attended Chrisland, Ikeja, Lagos and Bells secondary school, Ota for her primary and secondary education respectively. She also returned to the U.S where she studied Accounting at the University of Kentucky.
Adunni has a younger sister, Mistura who is a make-up artist and a graduate of Pentecost University, Ghana.
Prior to fame, Adunni had worked in the Housing and Insurance sectors in the United states before delving into the entertainment industry and ventured into fashion modeling where she featured in America’s Next Top Model.
Just after she got back to Nigeria, she got her first role in the Yoruba speaking movie “Iwo tabi Emi (You or I)”.
Ever since Adunni came to limelight, she has starred in several English and Yoruba movies which include; What’s within, Head Gone, The Vendor and so on. She also appeared in music videos for Sound Sultan and Ice Prince.
Adunni got married to Michael Boyd in 2004 and divorced in 2012 which left her as a single mother of two sons, Ayden and D’Marion Young.
Adunni received a stellar award from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and has got numerous nominations for her effort which include Most Promising Actress of the Year at the City People Movie Award.
