who has previously worked with the likes of Sonnie Badu, Sammie Okposo and Nikki Laoye, the glorious dance praise number ‘Awesome God’ is the long-awaited and anticipated follow up to Ayo Davies’ 2014 hit single ‘Opeyemi’.
Hailed for his original style, awe-inspiring vocals and inimitable passion for gospel music, Ayo Davies began his foray into music at a very young age, with a passion for traditional African music. His musical journey, from then to now, has seen influences from gospel, contemporary, R&B and jazz music, with an underlying love for his Nigerian culture, highlife and afrobeat music.
Now serving as the musical director for London-based church RCCG Winners Way, Ayo Davies has gone on to revamp local and regional music departments across several churches and organizations in the United Kingdom. The fast-rising musician has also shared the stage with gospel stalwarths such as Tosin Martins, Sonnie Badu and Gabriel Eziashi, to mention a few.
Speaking about the inspiration for ‘Awesome God’, Ayo Davies says, “This song means a whole lot to me. It is a reflection of the incredible and indescribable nature of God. It speaks about the endless power of God and how life revolves around Him. I know it will serve as a medium for someone to realise how mighty God is, and feel the urge to worship Him”.
