Nigerian Singer Scores Songwriting Credits on Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’

 British-Nigerian singer/songwriter, Uzo Emenike under the stage name MNEK, is one of the army of writers behind Beyoncé’s highly acclaimed 6th studio album, Lemonade.


The 21 year old shares credits along with at least 14 other writers on Hold Up, the second track on the album and one of the most popular songs off Lemonade so far.

His recent writing and production credits include Madonna, Diplo, Zara Larsson, Naughty Boy, Little Mix, JoJo, and tons of other well-known foreign artists.
He is of Igbo descent, born in Lewisham, London and signed under Virgin EMI records and has had a number of accolades already. At 19, he grabbed a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording as well as several certified gold and platinum singles.
